Empowering Professionals: Putting our kids to work! Photoblog

Putting our kids to work! Photoblog

I have to say, when you have help washing your truck, it tends to go a bit faster!  This time, my son Ryan helped me wash my truck.  From soaking, to washing to rinsing...  And even drying!  I think his favorite part was just playing in the water in his rain boots!

My Son Ryan

Later that night, my son came and gave me a hug and said, "I had so much fun washing the truck with you today daddy".

Funny how to the rest of us, washing your car sometimes can seem to be a chore.

:)

awww how sweet... little kids always love to be involved with what their parents are doing.  This will be a good memory for both of you!

It's fun for kids to do nearly anything with their parents.  I do chores with my kids and while they may not have much fun, they do appreciate that we're doing it all together.

I always enjoy reading your AR posts as well as those on Facebook.  Your son is such a cutie pie, and it does my heart good to witness your interactions and relationship building activities.

Bless you both.

That is a mightly large truck for such a small boy!  Don't you wish you had as much enthusiasm as some kids do in tackling a serious job!  He's likely to remember the day for a very long time.

Hi Chris,

Haven't seen any blogs in months from you. So glad you came back with such an adorable one as this. I love his boots too. Looks like you both had a great day.

Chris, that's a great pic! How much water got INTO the boots? My kids are a little older than that but they still like helping out, as long as I'm in there with them. Keep having fun!

Chris, That pick up truck just DWARFS Ryan, but you know as a kid few things more fun than getting the business end of the hose to point and shoot :)  What time should I expect you two over to wash mine? :)

Chris, It's good to see that Ryan is getting some use out of those rain boots for something involving water.  He might outgrow them before it rains again around here.

Hi Chris, This was so cute. How many times did your son  hit you with the spray, lol. None the less these are the treasures that will be cherished for a life time.

Thanks for sharing this classic family moment.  The older I get the more I realize how much happiness my family brings me.  Moments like this are exactly why we create families and have children.  Nothing we can do by ourselves could ever compare.
