Empowering Professionals: Wordless Wednesday - My Son Ryan at my Office with me

Wordless Wednesday - My Son Ryan at my Office with me

I bring my son Ryan to my office from time to time.  He loves to hang out with his daddy, say hi to my staff and watch YouTube videos on the second screen of my dual screen Mac.

 Chris Alston

He likes to sit on the same chair that I am sitting in, but usually likes to climb in behind me so I can keep working.

My assistant snapped this picture of us, without me even knowing she taking it, and it has become one of my favorite pictures.

How cute.  You are teach your son work skills and that family especially him is important to you.

I love what we do because it gives you the freedom to be with our familes more than a regular working person with a 9-5 job.  Not many bosses would let you bring your child to work unless it was a special day.

It is so obvious the love Ryan has for his Daddy and what a wonderfull Daddy you are Chris.  This made my morning!

Chris, That is a sweet photo!  I think that it is great that you take Ryan to work with you occasionally!

Chris, I don't think I've ever seen a photo of Ryan without him being happy.  You're doing it right!  Bill

Hi Chris, What a great way to keep that bond going between you and your son.  Fond memories you will have from this time.  Great photo.

I remember when one or more of my kids would visit my office, when they were at, or near that age. I use to keep track of a lot of things using sticky notes, and other more unconventional methods. My desk would often be covered with yellow postlets There was a particiular day, when my youngest daughter, then about 12, came to the office with me. A client unexpectedly showed up, and wanted to view a particular house. I left my daughter behind, with an agent friend of mine. When I returned, I found my desk had been all "cleaned up" and re-arranged in an "orderly" fashion. That little maneuver put me out of business for 2 weeks and 1 day:-)

I so miss the days when I could take my kids to the office. It was always an eye opener for them to see what their dad did and for me to show off my kids to my coworkers...

It is adorable;) You might soon bring a partner into your business.

My kids have no interest in my profession at all...
